It really feels as if the garden is coming alive again after the long winter sleep. Lots of flowers are blooming, despite Paddy and Alfies best attempts to eradicate them, either by trampling or eating!
Unlike the garden, things have been quiet on the knitting front. I'm progressing slowly on the Regia socks. I love these colours, they are so cheerful and put a smile on my face each time I look at them.
I couldn't resist sale bargains at Hipknits either, I think it was the colours that called me again.
I really shouldn't buy any more yarn for several reasons,
- I have plenty in my stash to last me years!
- I'm going to Fair Isle to learn to spin, so I can make my OWN yarn.
- I'm also going to Woolfest and should be saving, instead of spending!
BUT
- There are some gorgeous yarns out there.
- Even when I can spin, I'll have to learn how to dye to get some of the yummy colours!
- Knit shops keep having sales!!
- I NEED to try different yarns, patterns, books, magazines.............!
There's more things in the second list, so I reckon that means I'll just HAVE to keep on buying!
I don't know, life is SO tough!

lovely yarns and colours, and the plants are sproutng well!
Good argument, logically constructed - you have to go with the longer list - hurrah for more yarn!
Your greenhouse does look lovely, and think of all that food!!! I'm sure everything is growing faster this year! - Lovely yarn too, and I agree you argument is soundly based!
Great greenhouse shot! Very sound argument you've got there :)
Yes, the yarn wins :-)
The plants are doing really well, must pop out and check ours actually, I'd forgotten!
Nice to see a full greenhouse ready for summer - not suprised knitting has slowed down with all those to tend to!
I love the colour of the sock yarn - have you tried the Magic Loop method to speed things up? I'm a real convert to the method and it's not as tricky as it may seem (even if I do convert back to dpns for turning the heel!) and is so much quicker! Love the new yarns!
Seems like we've all fallen off the yarn wagon this week :)
I bought some silk from Hip Knits.
LOL at your reasoning (but its good, I'll remember it when my finger gets twitchy) :) Your greenhouse looks so lush! And I love the sock, great colours :)
Wow, all your veg is coming along wonderfully! Looks absolutely fantastic :)
And all that new yarn is just gorgeous :)
You make some very valid points for buying more yarn - your argument is perfect! xx
Could I place an order for .5kg of carrots, pots, aubergine..... and I'd like it delivered please! No kidding it's 'The Good Life II'. I love the colour of the yarns too. Makes me think of ink pads but more snuggly. Have a good day knitting tomorrow!
When would Madame Inky like her order delivering? That will be £4.53 please!
